Now I know it's simple and I could have done better with the cutting out.....but I am working on a better one as I speak so ya.

The problem I have is with layers.

What problem do you have with layers? I might be able to help you.

Well the main problem I have with layers is actually applying the effects onto the different layers.

I dont know if I have to select the layer then apply or just select an effect and then choose which layer to apply it to. And also touching up cutting out on the layers is a problem too.

Applying different effects to the different layers. Say you wanna add a light source but all your layers are jumbled up. Go to layer x new layer x image x apply image and everything you made will be put into one image so it will be easy to apply effects to all the layers at once.

If you wanna add an effect to one layer you select the layer then add your effect. If there is another layer above the layer desired to have the effect then you will have to lower the opacity or deleted the above layer to see the changes.

I dunno what you mean by touching up cutting out on the layers. If you mean cutting the pictures I put up a rendering tutorial in the Other Tutorials Section.

If you mean by erasing some parts and it all comes out chunky then lower the opacity settings of the brush and it will look like it gradually fades away.
